Privacy Policy

HealthHold.ai collects only the minimum information necessary to operate the household health dashboard:

• Account information: Your name and email address, provided during registration.
• Health records: Lab results, medications, supplement lists, vital signs, body composition data, and wearable activity data that you manually enter or upload.
• Uploaded documents: PDF files (such as lab reports or doctor's notes) that you choose to upload for AI analysis.
• Household membership: The names and email addresses of family members you invite to join your household account.
• Usage data: Anonymous, non-identifying usage patterns used solely to improve the platform (e.g., which features are used most).

HealthHold.ai is architected as a local-first platform. Your health records, account credentials, lab results, and household data are stored directly in your browser's localStorage on your own device.

• No central database stores your personal health information by default.
• Data does not leave your device except when you explicitly upload a document for AI analysis (see Section 4).
• Clearing your browser storage removes all locally stored data permanently.

We use the information you provide solely to:

• Display your household health dashboard, lab trends, medication schedules, and wearable data.
• Authenticate household members and enforce role-based access (Admin vs. Member).
• Send household member invitations when an Admin adds a new member.
• Generate AI-powered health insights and trend visualizations within your dashboard.
• Process documents you submit for AI analysis (lab PDFs, reports).

We do not use your health data for advertising, profiling, research, or any purpose other than operating your personal household dashboard.

HealthHold.ai includes an AI-powered PDF Lab Reader feature that uses Claude, a large language model provided by Anthropic, PBC. When you upload a PDF document for analysis:

• The document is transmitted to Anthropic's API over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• Claude processes the document to extract lab values and health data, returning structured results to your dashboard.
• HealthHold.ai does not retain copies of uploaded documents on its servers after processing.
• Anthropic's own Privacy Policy governs their handling of API data.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal health information with third parties, except:

• Service providers: Anthropic (AI processing) as described in Section 4.
• Legal requirements: If required by applicable law, court order, or government authority.
• With your consent: If you explicitly authorize us to share specific data.

HealthHold.ai is designed for family household use. Within a household:

• The Admin (the person who creates the household) can view all household members' health data and manage household membership.
• Members invited by the Admin can access the dashboard as configured by the Admin.
• All household data belongs to the household. The Admin is responsible for managing member access appropriately.
• Invitations are issued by email. HealthHold.ai does not verify the relationship between household members.

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data stored in your dashboard at any time.
• Delete: Remove your account and all associated data by clearing your browser's local storage or using the Settings page.
• Correct: Update or correct any health records, lab entries, or profile information directly in the dashboard.
• Portability: Export your health data in structured formats where supported.

We implement reasonable technical safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS transmission for all API communications. Because data is stored locally on your device, the security of your health information also depends on your device's security practices (screen lock, browser security, etc.). We recommend using a secure, personal device and not sharing your browser profile with others.

HealthHold.ai is intended for adults managing a family household. Health data for minor children may be entered by the household Admin for tracking purposes only. We do not knowingly collect information directly from individuals under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify household Admins of material changes via email or an in-dashboard notice. Continued use of HealthHold.ai after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
